Bentley Arnage was announced in 1990 being the sibling of Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph when Bentley marquee was affiliated together with BMW group for a short period.
It was technically a whole new design four-door sedan after 30 years since T, Mulsanne or Turbo R.
Like Mulsanne, the name Arnage was given after the corner on the Le Mans 24 hour race, in which W.O. Bentley cars made a great boom in the late 1930’s. At first, Arnage had the BMW 4.4 litre V8 twin-turbo which output 353ps/ 5500rpm. As Bentley marquee went under VW group, and to respond to the market request for the traditional V8, 7.5 liter V8 OHV coupled with single e turbo was supplied to a new addition, Red Label which output 405ps/400rpm power and 82.5kg/2000rpm torque.
This Arnage is a 2000 model Red label. Black metallic body and tan leather is a cool color scheme for this powerful sedan. The look of Arnage hints S3 saloon but has a modern mechanism underneath powered by the traditional big V8 turbocharged engine. Entirely classified as a super high-end saloon even today. Not many can be found in the used car market in Japan as well. Worth to have your inspection.
