Silver Spirit II/ Spur II was announced at Frankfurt Motor Show in 1989 autumn as the 1990 year model to have Bosch Motoronic computer-controlled fuel injection and electronically controlled shock absorbers as noticeable features. During 1990-1991, Rolls-Royce offered seventy-seven special cosmetic models worked at by Mulliner Park Ward. At that time Rolls-Royce and Bentley series II cars were assembled at Crew factory in Cheshire, then brought to Mulliner Park Ward Factory in Willesden, north of London to have skilled workers fitments to finish up the cars. On the exterior, the bumpers are colored the same as the body, and the stainless side sills and fender skirt adding a dressy look. The traditional badge bar is installed as standard in front of the so-called Parthenon grills.
On the upholstery, the capping veneer over the door panels which are not seen on the standard cars is attached as specialty. On the back of the front seats, hidden a set of Baccarat Crystal glasses and decanters from France and a fridge to hold two bottles of wines in the center armrest on the rear seat. The picnic tables have cigar cases as ultimate luxurious special Rolls-Royce motor car. 10 of the limited 71 cars were imported to Japan by the then sole agent Cornes and Company Ltd. A few more seem to have been imported privately. This particular example is a Cornes import. Cosmetically and mechanically kept in good condition. The serial is 77, the last of the limited number. A historic and rare example of the era.
Silver Spur is on top of the young timer classic cars. This Spur is even more special and rarer among Silver Spurs.
