For the people who want to enjoy classic cars more casually, “young timer classic” is more than a booming trend now.
Rolls- Royce cars are no exception for them. Silver Spirit/Spur model, called SZ type cars are now drawing their attention. This one is a preferable example of young timer Rolls- Royce car, 1990 Silver Spirit.

Silver Spirit and its long wheelbase version, Silver Spur made a debut in 1980. Both progressed as Silver Spirit/Spur announced at Frankfurt Motor Show in 1989 autumn to be delivered as the year 1990 model.
The change includes Bosch Motoronic computer-controlled fuel injection to be standardized for all Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars. The power increased by this electronic tune, exceeding the max speed 200km/h for the first time in Rolls-Royce Motors history, and 0 to 100Km/h acceleration in 11.1seconds (on Spirit II). The front and rear were also electronically controlled and the stainless capped light weight aluminum wheel were standardized to improve the ride and manoeuvring.
This Silver Spirit is produced in 1990, after two years of the first announcement. The first year’s computer glitch was solved by this time. Imported by then Rolls-Royce /Bentley sole agent, Cornes and Co., Ltd. Japan. The color scheme of the body and the seats was the most popular one at that time and are still in excellent condition. Previous owner’s daily use car. The top of young timer classic cars, a casual R-R is here for you to enjoy.
