Came in 1958, Series 2 Bentley T had V8 engine and so did S2 Continental cars with a variety of body styles. One of them is a Park Ward’s “straight through” shoulder lined 2-door drophead/hardtop coupe cars. On the last of S-series Continental, S3 Continental, Park Ward set four headlamps skewed. The model later gained the nickname, “Chinese Eye”. In 1961 Park Ward merged with H.J. Milliner to be a subsidiary of Rolls-Royce Motors and the Chinese Eye were produced under the name of Mulliner Park Ward. Small numbers of cars were produced for wealthy customers during the time Rolls-Royce factory was getting prepared for the production of Silver Shadow.
This particular S3 Continental had been sold by us some 10 years ago. To cope with today’s traffic use in the summer of Japan, it was modified by us at some points such as fitting multiple electric fans along with the heat outlet on the engine hood, and the original dynamo replaced with a modern alternator to provide enough electricity for them.
Mechanically in excellent condition overall. This coupe is scarce in Japan as well as the overseas market. Come to check your daily use rare classic.
