| 2010年01月10日（日） | あけましておめでとうございます。 と、いいましても、もう新年も10日ほど過ぎちゃいましたが、 本日がワクイ・ミュージアムのことはじめでした。 朝から多くのみなさんがミュージアムとショールームにご来館くださいました。 お天気は小春日和でしたが冷たい風がありましたので、テーブルをミュージアムに運んで名物のランチ会を中で行いました。 午後は、ベントレーS2やファントム、アルパイン・イーグルや白洲号の試乗会で大変盛り上がっておりました。 詳細はコチラ |
A HAPPY NEW YEAR! Well, it’s already 10th day of the new year, but today was the first day for the Wakui Museum in 2010. Thank you very much for those who visited us at the Museum and Show Room during the day. We enjoyed our specialty luncheon with many visitors inside the Museum. (We usually put table outside but it was too windy and cold to do so today.) Bentley S2, Phantom, Alpine-Eagle, and Shirasu Bentley were also happy as they had chance to run with visitors after lunch! See details here. |

Mr. Masamichi Ito, the author of the picture book "Jidousha Archer" will hold a personal exhibition titled "SMILE & SMILE"
at the Mini Gallery of Ginza ITO-YA (8F) starting on Tue. 17th until Mon. 23rd of November. [Open time: Mon., Tue. & Sun. 10:30 - 19:00 / Wed. Thu. Fri. & Sat. 10:30 - 20:00] Ito-san will be in the gallery on 17th, 18th, 19th, 22nd and 23rd. |

Wakui Museum is movable museum. On Saturday, 31st October, Kazo City Nigiwai Event was held in downtown Kazo, and 1919 Rolls-Royce 40/50HP Silver-Ghost "Alpine-Eagle" also known as "Jidousha Archer," Jiro Shirasu's 1924 Bentley 3Litre and the former Prime Minister Shigeru Yoshida's 1937 Rolls-Royce 25/30HP Sports Saloon by Hooper were exhibited at Civic Plaza Kazo. 「ぼくは じどうしゃ アーチャー。 ジョージは ぼくの いちばんの ともだち。 じつは ぼくと ジョージは はなしができる」 純心な語り口で物語が始まる、とても心温まる絵本が出版されま した。 じどうしゃのアーチャーと人間のジョージとの友情をモチーフに、一台の古いじどうしゃが、時代と共にオーナーが変わり、じどうしゃの役割が変わっていく。 アーチャーが辿った物語を、アーチャーの目線で綴った優しいけれど力強い言葉と、豊かな色彩と情緒に 溢れた絵で表現された絵本です。 この絵本の出版に際しましては、WAKUI MUSEUM も協力させて 頂いたご縁で、出版を記念して作家の片平直樹さんが涌井館長を訪問してくださいました。 特集ページを掲載しましたので、ご覧ください。 絵本 「じどうしゃ アーチャー」 の出版を記念して |
" My name is Archer, the car. My best friend is George. As a matter of fact, George and I can talk to each other. " A very heartwarming picture book which begins with such an innocent tone has been published. Based on the theme of friendship between Archer as a car and George as a human, the story tells how the historic car has experienced different owners and roles of himself over time, featuring tender but strong wording and pictures with full of color and affection. As we at Wakui Museum had an opportunity to cooperate in publishing the book, the author Mr. Naoki Katahira kindly paid a courtesy call to us last week. 2009年5月3日。 加須市の利根川河川敷で KAZOクラシックカー・フェスタ2009 が 開催されました。 当館からも、1919 Rolls-Royce 40/50HPSilver-Ghost "Alpine-Eagle"、白洲次郎の愛車 1924 Bentley 3Litre、吉田茂元首相の愛車 1937 Rolls-Royce 25/30HP Sports Saloon by Hooper、1950 Rolls-Royce Silver-Wraith WFC69 D.H.C. by Freestone & Webbの4台をゲスト参加させていただきました。 143台の国内外のヒストリック・カーが参加したこのイベントは、加須市で初めて開催されたクラシックカー・フェスティバル。 このイベントの特集サイトに、参加した車や大会の模様を撮影したフォト・ギャラリーを掲載しましたので、ご覧ください。 KAZOクラシックカーフェスタ2009 写真集 |
KAZO Classic Car Festa 2009, the first classic car festival in Kazo City, Saitama, was held at the Tone River area on 3rd May, 2009. A total of 143 Japanese and foreign historic cars were exhibited, and four of our museum cars, 1919 Rolls-Royce 40/50HP Silver-Ghost "Alpin3-Eagle," Jiro Shirasu's 1924 Bentley 3Litre, former Prime Minister Shigeru Yoshida's 1937 Rolls-Royce 25/30HP Sports Saloon by Hooper, 1950 Rolls-Royce Silver-Wraith WFC69 D.H.C. by Freestone & Webb, were invited as special guest. 「トヨタ博物館クラシックカーフェスタ in 神宮外苑」が開催され、東京の明治神宮外苑に世界のクラッシクカーが大集合しました。当館からは1924年Bentley白洲号がトヨタ博物館からの要請で参加。青山、渋谷周辺をパレードした後、フェスタ期間中、展示されました。 | " Toyota Automobile Museum Classic Car Fest in Jingu-Gaien " was held on 29 - 30 November, where about 100 classic cars from around the world gathered in the Outer Garden of the Meiji Shrine. Jiro Shirasu's 1924 Bentley 3 Litre was invited to the event and exhibited on the site after parading around Aoyama and Shibuya area during the event period. |

| 2008年11月09日（日） | 埼玉県幸手市にて開催された幸手クラシックカーフェスティバルに参加した約140台のクラシックカーのうち半数の約70台が、15台ずつのグループでツアーを組んで当ミュージアムを訪問。寒空にもかかわらずミュージアムは100名を超える訪問客でにぎわいました。 | Out of 140 classic cars that participated in Satte Classic Car Festival held in Satte City, Saitama on 9th November, 70 cars dropped by our museum in a group of 15 cars, one group after another. Despite cold weather, the museum was crowded with more than 100 visitors. |

Kiyoharu Wakui, Director of Wakui Museum, appeared on a NHK-General's TV program "Eigo-de-Shabera-Night" on Mon. 20 Oct. (23:00). In the program, Wakui introduced Jiro Shirasu's beloved car, 1924 Bentley 3 Litre, and drove it, showing that the car is still active. |
